For Sharon Pitts,painting is her language. With watercolrs, and brush and paper, she translates the world around her. She is fascinated with the play of patterns, with the flow of color in water, the gradations of light and dark, and what is suggested rather than literal.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sharon Pitts holds a B.A. in Plastic and Graphic Arts from the University of Illinois - Chicago and has studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Barnes Foundation and Montclair University. She concentrates on painting in watercolr.
Sharon's art has been shown in countless galleries including solo shows and group exhibits. Her art graces the walls of many museums, corporations, and private collections.
